DEEP SPACE

A perfect combination of craft and beauty, DEEP SPACE is a large piece of jewellery by artist Kyohei Noguchi. This exquisite toki is carved from local New Zealand jade and suspended from an adjustable 4-plait olive cord, an unforgettable addition to any collection.

The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.

The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.

DEEP SPACE is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch.

We also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
