CARRY ME HOME is a large Toki by Kerry Thompson. This is an exceptional piece in every sense - beautifully designed and flawlessly carved.

The inspiration for this piece is the hammerhead shark - the mangõpare. The hammerhead holds a special place for many mãori iwi, symbolising the importance of guardianship for their people, it is a protector and a caretaker.

CARRY ME HOME was hand-carved for us by renowned artist Kerry Thompson. It is a wonderful fusion of tradition and marine symbolism. Crafted from rare Totoweka jade, with its deep, rich hues and subtle translucency make it a truly beautiful piece.

The design is a powerful representation of the hammerhead shark, a guardian of the ocean known for its keen vision, strength, and agility. A repeating carved pattern adorns the front face, gifting fluidity and movement to the piece, echoing the natural rhythms of the sea.
