PACIFIC MATARIKI - Matariki Constellation

This is a stunning 'donut' disc pendant crafted to represent the Matariki Constellation.

PACIFIC MATARIKI is hand made from recycled Ebony with NZ Paua Shell, Australian Golden Mother of Pearl inlays. Yannis has used brass, copper and silver for the star inlays and for the division. 

This is a delightful piece with some significance here in New Zealand - MATARIKI. The copper, silver and brass are carefully placed to reflect the Matariki Constellation - the Pleiades Star Cluster which first rises in late June, early July and marks the beginning of the New Year in the Māori lunar calendar.

PACIFIC MATARIKI is provided with a spiralled cord in black. It is a fixed length, with Paua Shell Toggle.
