RIVER'S SOUL a smaller sized, but visually powerful toki crafted from a gorgeous piece of Kawakawa pounamu.
Carved by Reuben Tipene, a Māori artist and carver, who honours this ancient, traditional art form while incorporating his life experiences into his work.
The Jade Rueben has used is exquisite! Classic New Zealand Kawakawa jade - with a wonderful semi-translucent edge and colour variation that adds to the mystery and beauty of this piece.
The perfect pendant for adventurers who would like to carry a piece of Aotearoa, New Zealand with them on their journey.
RIVER'S SOUL is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch.
A LITTLE ABOUT THE TOKI'S MEANING AND SIGNIFICANCE...
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength - the adze was a key survival tool, used to build, hunt and defend. Traditionally, the toki is worn to provide strength and courage, to assist through life's challenges, and the koru is a symbol of rebirth, growth and new beginnings.
We include our 'Kia Ora' card, explaining the meaning behind the Toki design.
