A gorgeous half-shield shaped pendant, carved from a piece of New Zealand Pounamu. Hand carved by Ric Moor.

Rooted in the ethos of shielding and safeguarding, TŌTARA KORU serves as a talisman of protection, grounding its wearer with strength and balance. This piece is not merely ornamental, it is a powerful emblem of defence and safety, crafted to inspire and protect in equal measure.

TŌTARA KORU is a gorgeous semi-translucent green, polished to a satin sheen. A wonderful display of New Zealand pounamu. The last photo is backlit to show how wonderful the Jade is.

Much like us, each piece of Pounamu has its' own 'DNA', its' own structure and special features that make it unique. This provides challenges, and opportunities for the carver. This is where the artists' creativity must be matched with a technical carving skill - wonderfully achieved by Ric Moor in this piece...
