PIPIRI - to cling together, to keep close to one another...
This is one of 7 Framed Artworks we have from renowned New Zealand artist and jade carver, Kerry Thompson.
A beautiful New Zealand Jade Koru necklace hand carved, framed and signed.
A sleek piece, beautifully crafted, this is an exceptional carving. A piece of carved art that will take its place in your family's story.
This design is quintessential Kerry Thompson - it is a wonderful flowing form carved with accents and mixed polish that promote the style and grace of the form. Kerry's delineation between matte and high polish creates a beautiful look that changes with distance and the angle of view.
A little about this design...
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
PIPIRI is sent to you in a wooden shipping box - these are purely for protecting the frame during transport.
