Description

The Materials.... ebony, bone, lapis lazuli, pāua, brass and pounamu

The disc is carved from a piece of deep brown ebony wood.

The major inlays are bone and lapis lazuli. The small round inlays are made with pāua shell and pounamu, and these are encased in brass.

The neck cord is a hand plaited, spiralled cord in black. It is a fixed length with a Paua Shell Toggle and loop closure.

We have made a brief video which shows the pendant slowly revolving - this is the best way to gain a perspective of the quality of the carving and the beauty of this pendant.
