This is a striking, medium sized, triple twist pendant carved in New Zealand jade by Shaun Gardiner. Shaun has used the Jade perfectly to highlight the fine orange streak at the top of the Twist - beautiful!
The twist design is locally called a 'Pikorua' and is a symbol of relationships. This is a very cool little pendant, carved with a flick in the tail and a lovely soft matte finish. This showcases the jade beautifully!
TAKAPŌ KORU looks wonderful worn high on the neck, but can be positioned wherever you like on its adjustable cord.
Definitely check out the video to see the shape of this piece.
The twist symbolises an unbreakable friendship, a bond that has no beginning and no end. It reflects the natural ebbs and flows that occur in any relationship without breaking the bond.
TAKAPŌ KORU is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch and will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the twist design.
