A stunning little Kete pouch carved from British Columbian Jade. Kete is the Māori word for basket, these are traditionally made from New Zealand flax. The flax is stripped into pieces and woven together to create a basket or pouch - used to carry and store food.
This pendant is a delight to handle - beautifully organic in form with a small cupped opening in the top. The jade used for this piece is a lovely soft, translucent green.
We have two options available: Tan cord with Manuka Green poppers and slip knots or Tan cord with Tan poppers and slip knots. Please use the drop-down menu to make your selection.
This is a wonderful example of jade craftsmanship at a very high level.
KETE is lovingly packaged in one of our woven kete pouches.
