Description

FIERCE CONTENDER - a contemporary matau pendant hand carved by Shaun Gardiner. Carved from an exceptional piece of jade, this is a really wonderful piece of carved art.

The colouring in the stone is remarkable - a beautiful semi-translucent green colour with speckled black inclusions. It varies from front to back, so FIERCE CONTENDER can be worn either side.

If you are going to gift this piece, we suggest that you wear it for a day or two - it will carry your mana (spirit) forever. 

We will let the photos, and the video, speak to the gentle design and the lovely green colours in the jade. 

A stylised Matau pendant signifying adventure and abundance. This is a gorgeous piece carved for us by Shaun Gardiner.

Included in the package is our 'Kia Ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the Matau design.
