Description

DELIGHTFUL is a large koru carved from New Zealand Pounamu, Jade.

Hand carved by Ric Moor.

This particular stone is called Marsden after the region the jade comes from. It is prized by carvers for its consistency and quality - artists like to work with Marsden jade because its quality allows a lot of freedom to create and carve.

In skilled hands, some beautiful work is produced from Marsden jade - this is a wonderful example of 'carving to the stone'. Ric has produced a beautiful, large koru that is carved to best present the jade's natural attributes.

DELIGHTFUL is a lifetime piece, a pendant that we would like to think will be worn daily and remain in a family as a legacy piece.

Take a look at the video - it is a very brief clip that shows the pendant slowly rotating. This gives a very clear picture of the jade and the carving's shape and form.

DELIGHTFUL is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch.
